Χρήση της τεχνητής νοημοσύνης (Artificial intelligence-AI) στη σύγχρονη εκπαιδευτική διαδικασία (Master thesis)

New technologies - in particular the emergence of Artificial Intelligence (AI) - have provided enormous potential in every area of human activity. Similarly, in the field of education, AI has the potential to transform the learning and teaching process. It can be used as the basis of an an integrated planning framework for intelligent educational systems that improve learning outcomes, facilitate individualised teaching and empower both students and teachers. The purpose of the present literature review was to examine the use of AI in the modern educational process, focusing on the integration of modern teaching methods in the new curriculum, as well as the use of innovative AI tools. The analysis carried out suggests that apart from its significant advantages, the introduction of AI in education is not without its drawbacks, as it raises important ethical and practical questions. In any case, AI is a technology that is constantly evolving and is likely to bring about changes in schools that would have been unthinkable in the past.Regarding its integration into the Greek educational system, the urgent need for its rapid adoption is highlighted, since intended reforms of the curricula and the implementation of the relevant interventions is a time-consuming process. However, this would mean a significant delay for the country's education system, with significant negative implications for the future.
