Modern educational techniques are a purpose and an end in itself in educational field, making it more efficient, introducing a plethora of new techniques, more attractive and effective for the trainee. Thus importance of modern educational techniques, it was considered necessary to be introduced to adult education. This research was conducted in order to study adults’ views on modern educational techniques. In particular, paper focuses on the use of new technologies during the learning process, application of active techniques by trainers in teaching, and on participants’ views on their effectiveness. The questionnaire was used as a research tool. Men and women trained at Second Chance School of Serres or attending Second Chance School at the Nigrita detention facility and male and female trainees of Public Vocational Training Institute of various specialties from the prefecture of Serres participated in the study. Research has shown that the majority of adults are familiar with new technologies and adopt a positive attitude towards the use of active techniques in teaching as a more effective way than a traditional teaching model.
