This thesis focuses on the hygiene and safety of workers in the workplace, specifically in technical projects and construction sites in our country. The purpose of this thesis is to highlight the necessity for improving existing working conditions. For this reason, initially a bibliographic research is carried out as far as reference is concerned legislation in Greece but also abroad. The risks for the safety and health of workers at construction sites and technical projects are also presented and the importance of assessment, prevention and management of occupational hazards is analyzed, which constitutes a primary task for the engineer. The conclusions derived from this thesis highlight that in Greece, there exists a legislative framework for the observance of safety and hygiene in the construction of technical projects both small and large scale, is available, what should developed is the will and effort to comply with regulations and legislations.
