The rapid evolution of technology has changed the daily lives of people and as a result they are constantly looking for its use and need for new innovations in it. One of the technological innovations is the information and communication technology, which has entered many sectors of economic activity. It is also useful to note that information and communication technology has penetrated the educational sector, improving the efficiency of its operation. The benefits of adopting it are numerous both from the teachers 'and students' point of view. In the context of the present study, the adoption of information and communication technology by the modern school is examined and in particular the attitude of teachers towards its use is studied. For this reason, an empirical study was carried out using a structured questionnaire distributed to Primary and Secondary Education teachers in the city of Thessaloniki. Research results have shown that teachers feel comfortable using this form of technology and its tools, while recognizing the benefits they offer. Finally, they recognize some of the obstacles or challenges involved in using information and communication technology and the reporting of which can lead to overcoming them.
